Toby and Erin live in Genoa City, Wisconsin, USA. Where , I hear you ask, is Genoa City ? Well, here is some information for those of you who don't know.

Toby used to work for Walmart - the world's largest retailer. Here is a picture of it. As you can see, its a "SuperCenter" which means it covers the same ground area as Warsash, and planes can take off and land inside it.

But he escaped Wally World and now he works for Stans Lumber. Here is The Lad with Lumber.

Erin works for the local radio station. They don't have a streaming feed to the internet (yet) so you can't listen to it from here, but if you click the logo you can visit the web site. Make sure you follow the link to the photographs of the folks at WLKG.

T & E used to live with Erin's mom, Nancy until their own place was ready. Here is Nancy's house decorated with the Stars and Stripes and the Union Jack. You can spend many a happy hour sitting on the deck and drinking beer. But be ready to duck inside quickly 'cos when it rains - it RAINS. No wonder there are so many lakes in the area. (Click the pic). Oh - yeah - and don't forget Monty, the trusty hound.
Here's the plot of land which they bought to build their first house on. Construction work started in the Spring of 2005 (when the rain - see above - had eased off a little) and the topping-out ceremony took place in November. It's a traditional timber frame construction, like many others in Wisconsin.
And here it is - November 2005 ! The new house is completed and the owners are snug and warm inside. Most everything is finished now except for the yard work ! Trish took some pictures whilst she was out there and you can see the album by following the PVT Visit link above.
Although living in the middle of nowhere has its disadvantages (e.g. having to drive miles just to get a four pack), there are also some big plusses. Here's the river which drains from the nearby lake (see the note about rain, above), and which runs right past the end of the garden. Fish the size of small whales swim up and down it, so if you are a fisherman, ( or woman ), this is the place to be.
In the UK gun ownership by ordinary folk is negligible. But many states in the US have more guns in private hands than the entire British Army. So signs like this (which stands at the entrance of the little road where they all live) don't even raise an eyebrow out there. And they're not fooling - most folk are armed to the teeth. But when we were there we got a fantastic reception from everyone and didn't get fired on once.
